A VIRTUAL VENUE FOR THE BLOODTHIRSTY

The Yankuza Compound (shortened later to The Compound) is a VR Chat venue hosted by VTuber Yanderae where events and concerts are held frequently with a full list of guest VJs (virtual DJs). Yanderae approached me with the prompt to help develop a logo for the venue, describing the vibe as “eloquent but edgy and kind of embodies the blood rave from the opening scene of Blade.”

With the additional note of spider lillies being the motif with her upcoming branding, I dove into the underground music and gothic aspects to produce something you could really sink our teeth into.
